A mixture of On contact and nades to the ground can empty several rooms in seconds and not uncommonly result in zed time, for even more of a chance at survival/kicking ♥♥♥.
These are life saving for when in a pinch and for raging Fleshies. Demo nades can stun most zeds, excepting the Crakes. Timing can commonly be the difference between life and death. Demo weapons are very powerful, in order to balance this, they have to be reloaded after a single shot.make it count (C4 being the exception). These are essential if you have a Raged crake or Fleshy in your face. RPG headshots result in a knockdown, incapacitatation and otherwise destroy high level zeds. Not uncommonly you can get more than this. Melee zeds (default V key) into position, in order to optimize shot placement with grenade pistol. The aim is to get as many zeds as possible within the blast radius of your shot, shoot at the floor a la mine sweeper. No other pistol can kill 6 or even more zeds with a single hit. Grenade pistol is your friend, learn to use it.it will save your life. Save money in early waves, you will need it if you wish to be fully geared for when the real action starts. Furthermore, this encourages the demo to work within the confines of a team framework in multiplayer coop, instead of going on his merry way blowing everything that moves. I believe this vulnerability is a reasonable balance to the otherwise overpowered demo. The nade pistol is the only demo weapon which does not result in auto damage (excluding duds/ballistic hits from RPG/m79). The aim of the grenade pistol is to clear a handful of zeds from your path, so you can continue to blow stuff up from a safe distance.
This relative weakness is addressed with the grenade pistol. Its only real weakness is close quarters/melee range. Hopefully, as people learn to use the Demo the cries to buff it will stop.įundamentally, the demo is the most powerful class at mid and long range. This video was really fun to make and I hope it teaches some basics about how to approach playing with the Demo. In time, this helped me understand how demo is meant to be played. As I was leveling my demo, I decided to solo as I felt I was being a hindrance to my team.
